1. Who We Are
IP IPTV Canada ("we", "us", "our") is a Canadian IPTV service provider operating ipiptv.ca. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) of Canada.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following personal information when you subscribe or contact us: full name, email address, phone number, payment information (processed by our payment partners, never stored on our servers), IP address, device type, browser/app version, subscription details, and customer support communications. We do NOT collect: government IDs, sensitive financial data, or biometric data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information solely to: (a) provide and operate the IPTV service; (b) process payments and send activation credentials; (c) communicate service updates, billing notices, and customer support; (d) detect and prevent fraud or abuse; (e) comply with Canadian legal obligations; (f) improve our service through anonymized analytics. We do NOT use your data for ad targeting.
4. Data Sharing
We do NOT sell your personal information. We share data only with: (a) payment processors (Stripe, PayPal) to complete transactions; (b) email service providers to send transactional emails; (c) hosting providers (Contabo) where your account data is stored on Canadian-routed servers; (d) law enforcement when legally compelled. All third-party providers are bound by data protection agreements.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your subscription is active plus 7 years after termination for tax and legal compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting support@ipiptv.ca. Some data may be retained longer if legally required.
6. Your Rights
Under PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25, you have the right to: (a) access your personal information; (b) correct inaccurate data; (c) request deletion (subject to legal retention); (d) withdraw consent for marketing communications; (e) data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@ipiptv.ca.
7. Cookies and Tracking
We use minimal cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for details. We do NOT use Google Analytics or other privacy-invasive tracking. We use privacy-first analytics (Plausible) that does not store personally identifiable information.
8. Security
We protect your data with: HTTPS encryption (TLS 1.3), pgcrypto column-level encryption for sensitive fields, restricted database access, regular security audits, and firewalled infrastructure. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we use industry-standard safeguards.
9. International Transfers
Your data is stored on Contabo VPS infrastructure in Europe. By using our service, you consent to the transfer and storage of your data outside Canada. We comply with PIPEDA cross-border data transfer requirements.
10. Children's Privacy
Our service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email to active subscribers. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
